Spalding Has Been Found!
We have a happy update for you this morning regarding Spalding, the Guide Dog that went missing over the weekend in Minneapolis, Minn. Spalding was returned safe and sound – and warm! - last night. A neighbor had taken him in during the snow storm on Sunday. A friend of the neighbor saw a local news segment last night about Spalding and alerted her friend. The neighbor in turn phoned Spalding's partner and the two were reunited. Many thanks to all of you who helped us get the word out and were sending kind thoughts. A very happy ending indeed!

GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND NEEDS ASSITANCE IN
FINDING LOST GUIDE DOG LAST SEEN IN MINNEAPOLIS AREA
San Rafael, Calif. (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) - Guide Dogs for the Blind is asking for your assistance in locating a lost Guide Dog named Spalding. The 2-year-old male yellow Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever cross breed has been specially trained to assist his blind partner in safe mobility. The two have been traveling as a team since October.
Spalding has been missing from his home since Sunday, December 12 at 1:30 p.m. He was last seen on the 1700 block of Marshall Avenue (between Fairview and Snelling) in Saint Paul, Minn.
Spalding has tattoos in both ears with his ID number. If you have any information about this lost Guide Dog, please contact Graduate Services at Guide Dogs for the Blind by calling toll-free: 800-295-4050.

Missing Puppy Has Been Found!
Good news - the missing puppy, Ingeborg, has been found! Within mere hours of us posting of her disappearance, we got word that she was back with her raisers, safe and sound. We don't have many details, but she is home - and that's all that matters! Thank you everyone for your help and your kind thoughts.

GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND NEEDS ASSITANCE IN FINDING LOST PUPPY LAST SEEN IN LOOMIS AREA
San Rafael, Calif. (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) - Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) is asking for your assistance in locating a lost puppy named Ingeborg. Ingeborg, a one-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever female, is a Guide Dog puppy-in-training for the GDB puppy raising program.
Although Ingeborg is still a puppy, she looks like an adult dog. Ingeborg was last seen near Rocklin Road / Barton Road.
Ingeborg is being raised by a volunteer puppy raising family in Loomis, Calif. The puppy raiser families teach puppies, like Ingeborg, to have excellent house manners and socialize them to the world by introducing them to new people, places and experiences.
Ingeborg, like other Guide Dog puppies-in-training, stays in their puppy raising homes until they are approximately 15 – 18 months old. At that time they begin their formal guide work training at GDB and are eventually matched with blind students enrolled at the school.
Ingeborg has tattoos in both ears with her ID number. She was wearing a black collar with ID plate and a long cord leash was attached to the collar.

Lost Puppy Update: Gannon is Found Safe and Sound!
THIS JUST IN: Gannon has been found! He is on his way home with his puppy raiser after the family that found him saw a story on the local news. Those are all the details we have for now, but we got our happy ending! Thanks again everyone for your concern and assistance - now we can all have a GREAT weekend!
Lost Puppy Update: Reward Now Being Offered
It's been a week since Guide Dog puppy Gannon went missing; unfortunately, we still don't have any good leads as to his whereabouts. We're working with the local media in the Lodi/Stockton area, and the GDB community has rallied to help in the search as well, posting flyers around town, posting notices online, calling veterinarians, shelters and the like. We're grateful for the outpouring of support. At this point, thanks to many individuals who have come forward with financial offers to help, GDB is now able to offer a generous reward for Gannon's safe return. Please help us spread the word, and contact us immediately at (800) 295-4050 with any leads. Thank you.

Lost Puppy Update
Hi all - thanks so much for all of your concern regarding Gannon, the missing puppy. Unfortunately, we still don't have any good news. We're working diligently in the area to find him, and we've got the media helping us in the search. Please see an article that appeared in today's Stockton Record (link below). San Rafael, Calif. (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) - Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) is asking for your assistance in locating a lost puppy named Gannon. Gannon, a 3-month-old black Labrador Retriever male, is a Guide Dog puppy in training for the GDB puppy raising program.
Gannon was last seen on Friday morning, October 30 near the corner of Armstrong and Davis Roads. He may have been spotted early on Saturday afternoon in the area of Thorton Road, north of Stockton, between 8 Mile and DeVries Roads.
Gannon is being raised by a volunteer puppy raising family in Lodi, Calif. The puppy raiser families teach puppies, like Gannon, to have excellent house manners and socialize them to the world by introducing them to new people, places and experiences.
